the Bicentenary of the Birth of Baháʼu'lláh

2017

"In the garden of thy heart plant naught but the rose of love"

- Bahá’u’lláh

In October 2017, in some 100,000 localities worldwide, Bahá’ís celebrated the bicentennial of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith. This worldwide celebration involved people of many diverse backgrounds and is to demonstrate a key message of Bahá’u’lláh's teachings:

"The Revelation, which from time immemorial, hath been acclaimed as the Purpose and Promise of all the Prophets of God, and the most cherished desire of His Messengers, hath now, by virtue of the pervasive Will of the Almighty and at His irresistible bidding, been revealed unto men. The advent of such a Revelation hath been heralded in all the sacred Scriptures."

- Bahá’u’lláh

Bahá’ís all over celebrate this significant event with their neighbours and friends in their localities to share with them the message of Bahá’u’lláh whom not only encourages the people of the world to unite but also provide the teachings necessary to achieve this unity.

"This is the Day in which God's most excellent favours have been poured out upon men, the day in which His mighty grace hath been infused into all created things. It is incumbent upon all the peoples of the world to reconcile their differences, and with perfect amity and peace, abide beneath the shadow of the Tree of His care and loving-kindness."
